私たち長谷川ゼミは、11月13日から14日にかけて、つくばグランドホテルにて、OB・OGの方々を招きゼミ合宿を行いました。内容は大きく分けて三つありました。一つめに、先輩方から、留学、インターン、就職活動についてお話をいただき、ゼミ生の質問に答えていただきました。二つめに、ゼミ生が作成されている特定の論文について、分野別のグループに分かれて議論しました。そして三つめに、ハーバード大学サンデル教授の授業「What’s　the Right Things to　Do?」を観て、アファーマティブアクションについて議論しました。特に、OB,OGの方々からのお話はとても貴重なもので、学生であるゼミ生がこれからの人生設計について深く考える機会となりました。ゼミ生間だけでなく、教授、そしてOB,OGの方々と親睦を深めることのできた実りある合宿となりました。(臼井崇人)

On November 13 to 14, the Hasegawa seminar group organized a retreat　at Tsukuba Grand Hotel. We invited seniors who graduated the seminar　and are working at several corporations. There were three subject　matters taken up at the retreat. First of all, the seniors spoke　about their 　tudy abroad experience, internship, and job hunting.　Secondly, we held group discussions about the methologoy of writing　thesis by referring to a specific thesis being written. Thirdly, we　saw a recorded video of Professor Sandel`s class that conducted at the　Harvard University, “Justice; 　What’s the Right Things to Do?” and　discussed the implications of “affirmative action.” Overall,　especially, the talking with seniors was most interesting and thought-provoking. All of us were able to think more deeply about our futures. We wish to extend our thanks to not only the students but the seniors who came to the retreat which was most worthy of learning events.(usui　takato)
