Ambassador Yoshifumi Okamura, Representative of the Government of Japan for the International Peace and Stability, will deliver the keynote speech on “New Challenges for Peace Operations in Africa”.
Mr. Yasushi Akashi, former Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator and former Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Cambodia and former Yugoslavia will make opening remarks. Ambassador Yoshifumi Okamura, Representative of the Government of Japan for the International Peace and Stability will deliver the keynote speech on the new challenges for peace operations in Africa at the annual general meeting of the Global Peacebuilding Association of Japan. This first annual meeting will be held at the Komaba Campus of the University of Tokyo in Shibuya City, Tokyo.
